    Hello konrad,

Thanks for your fantastic addition to ACF.

Using ACFE, I have easily created a frontend form but i have been trying to add an edit button to the single post and archive posts that will enable a user edit and update existing posts.

    Your assistance is highly appreciated.

    Warm regards.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

The posts archive & any related button such as Edit or Delete on the front-end is a the discretion of the developer.

ACF Extended forms will let you process the “post edit”, but it won’t create the button which display a form/page for you.

You could create a button which redirect the user to a page called /edit-form?id=45 (where 45 is the ID of the post the user want to edit), and then display an ACFE Form. You’ll find an example on how to pass that 45 ID from the URL to the form in our guide Passing Data to a Form.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
