Add description instead of caption on featured media

It looks like this plugin allows you to add some custom text along with a link:

Tested on my local install and it works, you just may need some CSS like the following to get it centered under the image

.featured-media-inner .ccfic {
	text-align: center;
}

Have a similar issue in using the featured image. How can I make the caption show, i.e., Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com

instead of

Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com

The link would be included in Pexels.com instead of written out in html language. I attempted to do that above.

@patruppel did you add the Pexels URL to the URL section in the Featured Image Caption section in the post editor? Without modifying the plugin or writing some custom code, I think you’ll just have to settle with the whole caption being a link instead of just the domain in the caption text.

Thanks Jarret — I did what you said and added the URL in the caption of the image in my library and it shows correct on the saved image. However, when I save it as a featured image in my post it still comes out like the screen shot I sent you with the full html.

Is there a glitch in the featured image part of the Twenty Twenty theme that hasn’t been worked out. I just switched to it recently.
