I need to add custom styles to the newsletter templates, like changing the border radius on buttons and use a custom font (where supported), and also need to change the header (different text and logo). I found this article: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/developers/newsletter-themes/ but it’s filed under “Legacy Newsletter Themes” – is this still a valid way to add custom styling/design to newsletters or will this be phased out at some point? How else would I be able to add custom CSS besides the limited options in the composer?

I found the “custom CSS” field in the advanced settings but the documentation at https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/newsletter-configuration/ is very vague. What does that field actually do? Does it change the global newsletter styles or the styles for the editor? Because when I added some CSS to test, nothing changed, apparently.
And likewise, what is the “disable default styles” select doing? Which styles does it disable, because, again, I’m not seeing any change.

Hi, at the moment there is no way to add custom CSS to newsletters created using the composer. With a pure HTML newsletter, of course, the CSS can be changed.

    Stefano.
