Add custom post type for bbPress Topics for Posts

  • I use bbPress Topics for Posts extensively on my site to use a BBPress topic for comments on my pages instead of the built-in wordpress comments.

    I’d like to do the same for calendar events where the event is created as a wordpress custom post type of ‘pec-events’. So that creating a new event creates a new forum topic for the event uses a custom post type, does anyone know how to modify the bbPress Topics for Posts code to pick up a specific custom post type?

    I figured out how to do this, index.php there is a section where you enter what content types the plugin works for, be default the list has ‘posts,’pages’ so it was simple enough to add ‘pec-events’ to that list.
