Add Custom Meta to course / lesson

Not sure I entirely understand the question. ??

If you’re wondering whether you can add custom fields using something like ACF, then I believe the answer is yes. It’s not something that’s built into Sensei, but should be possible depending on what plugin you are using and its capabilities.

That is exactly what I meant.
Only that I would need custom fields but without a plugin.

How would I do it? Do you have any suggestions?

You’d need to override the appropriate templates found here: https://github.com/Automattic/sensei/tree/master/templates

That can be done by creating a sensei folder in your theme directory, and copying the template file to that folder, and making your modifications in that copy of the file.
