  • Hey there, @schmicho! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Do you mind sharing more details about your goal so we can make sure we understand?

You want to have custom fields on the checkout page?

And where do you want them to show exactly?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi carolm29

    thanks for your reply.
I thought of something like this:

You can see the name of the field in the first screenshot. It’s inside of the order #2916. In the frontent it would be possible to replace the id from the column “Bestellung” with the custom field, if it’s exist ??

    Would that somehow be possible?

From what I gather, you’d like to update the customers with Order updates (like the shipping invoice/number). Correct?

Feel free to utilize the Order Notes section, as documented here. Adding custom notes to an order, will be sent over email to their email address on file as well.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
