    Hello,

I am wondering if it’s possible to add custom fields that will work with the plugin, like the driver age, and driver location? Also, how can I customize the search form [vikrentcar view=”vikrentcar” lang=”*”]?
I am trying to make it look like the search form on Bílaleiga Akureyrar.

    Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
    thank you for your message.

It is not possible to add custom fields on the Vik Rent Car Search Form, I’m sorry. It is possible to add custom fields just on the Summary reservation form.
If you’d like to customize the search form layout, if this is the search form shortcode, you can add the custom CSS inside the Vik Rent Car > Global > Configuration > Views and Layouts > “Custom CSS Overrides” parameter. If you are trying to customize the Search Form widget, you need to add the custom CSS code inside your Appearance > Customizer > “Additional CSS” parameter.

Please, be aware that on your homepage you need always to use the “Vik Rent Car Search Form” widget and not the shortcode. You can add widgets inside a page by using the native WordPress page builder Gutenberg or by using the Divi functionalities.

I hope this helps, for any further information don’t hesitate to contact us also by using our official website.

    Hi, thanks for your answer.

How exactly can I customize it, it seems a bit difficult without the correct css classes. Do you have the css classes, or is it pretty straight forward? Like, is it possible to add custom css class to the widget and from there customize each and every input box, etc?

    Best regards,

    Hello,
you need to use the browser inspector to see the css classes you need to use for your customizations. The only way to add custom classes to the widget is by creating a page override, on this link you can find a tutorial that explains how to create overrides for our Vik plugins https://vikwp.com/support/knowledge-base/vik-booking/customization-tips/overrides-tool

    I hope this helps.
