    Hi,

Hoping someone can help me with this, I am using the virtue theme:

I would like to add data from a custom field (created using advanced custom fields plugin) to sit beneath or beside the <h4> title of each post summary/excerpt on the homepage of the site. the field is just a text field for “location” and I have added it in to the single post pages using <p><?php the_field('location'); ?></p> within the template however I can’t seem to find where the homepage h4 for the post excerpts is

Any help on this would be much appreciated, site is https://www.ukdateguide.com

    Thanks
    Dave

Hey Dave, have you tried pasting this in the excerpt box on the edit post page? If you don’t see the box you may need to select it from the screen options tab on the top right of the screen.
    Hope that works for you!

You can find the file in virtue/templates/home/blog-home.php

    Hi,

Adding it to the excerpt field just gave the location and nothing else so would have had to manually add in excerpt every time.

Adding it in to the blog-home.php template sorted it.

Thank you so much for the help and the very quick response.

    Thanks

    Dave
