Add currency code display

I am shocked to find out that WC doesn’t have the ability to display the currency code! This should be a basic function.
When it simply displays a $ symbol, for example, it can mean many currencies. I want to display for either USD $100, $100 USD, or US$100. For variable products, it may be USD $100 – USD$200, or $100 USD – $200 USD.
How can this be done?
p.s. I have checked old posts on this topic, they don’t work on the new WC with WP.

I wrote a small plugin that lets you set a separate currency symbol from the default.

Here I changed
$toUSDto show you what it can look like.It adds an option to the bottom of the currency settings in WooCommerce > Settings > General.
