Add content within the_content()

  • If an image is posted to the homepage, I want to link the image to the_permalink and also add a span within the a tag surrounding the image. The span says “read more”, and I don’t want it appearing once a user is reading the article, nor should the image link once the user is within the article. So, I’m guessing this needs to be written to my index.php only.

    Any ideas?
