You can use a custom code snippet, eg:https://github.com/ibericode/mc4wp-snippets/blob/master/integrations/wp-registration-form/add-to-grouping.php

Don’t forget to change the integration slug from wp-registration-form to contact-form-7
    See https://github.com/ibericode/mc4wp-snippets/blob/master/integrations/integration-slugs.md

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Hi:
Thanks very much for your answer. I understand the snippet but it is useful for one form/all forms… what if I have 3 different subscription forms and each one should add the subscriber to a different segment?

Something like in here:https://www.mc4wp.com/kb/different-lists-different-cf7-forms/ but with segments instead of list (since I only can have one list)

    Thanks very much.

    Hi:
Thanks very much for your answer.
I think I’m not explaining myself well enough. I don’t want subscribers to choose their segment. Each form should automatically add its subscriber to a particular segment.

    I have 3 forms:
Form 1: subscribers must be automatically added to segment id1
Form 2: subscribers must be automatically added to segment id2
Form 3: subscribers must be automatically added to segment id3

    Thanks very much

At the bottom of the KB article that I linked “You can also hide the choice (make it implicit) by changing the type from “checkbox” to “hidden”.”

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Hi again:
thanks very much for your answer. Now I understand.
But I think we are not talking about the same “segment”. Yo mean mailchimp groups, which it’s not the same than “segments”. In Mailchimp I can send a specific campaign to a specific segment but I can’t do the same with groups (as far as I know)

Is it possible to add subscribers to a particular segment inside an audience?
    https://mailchimp.com/es/help/getting-started-with-segments/

(I apologize, I only can get the spanish link)

You can’t set segments, you can only “create” them within a MailChimp audience.

You can set Interest groups, and you can send an email to an interest group and also have interest group as part of a segment.

    Hi:
    thanks for your answer.
The main difference (to me) between groups/tags/segments is that with segments I can create specific signup/confirmation/unsubscription/etc forms for each segment, which it would be necessary in my site, but I can’t do that with tags or groups (I can only have the default audience signup-etc forms).

Is it possible with paid version?
Would you consider to add this feature some time?

Thanks very much, you were really helpful anyway.

    Hey @inextable,

Please note that segments are not something you can create from outside MailChimp. They are dynamic. To create segments you need some details that can be either used from a certain interest group or tag or other data.

Once you add users to a certain group, you can then create a dynamic segment which creates a dynamic list of users that belong to a certain interest group.
