[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Add Contact Form to Sidebar

I can post contact form (Contact Form 7) on a page or a post but the shortcode isn’t working for the sidebar.

[contact-form 2 "Newsletter"]

Am I missing something? I’d rather not mess with a widget.
