Add class to anchor link

  • I would like to automatically add the class “anchor” to all anchor links added with the TinyMCE editor so that I can apply css to add top padding to avoid the linked titles being hidden by a fixed header menu.

    Can you advise on the best practice for doing this in a way that won’t get overwritten when I update the plugin?

    What code would I use, and where would it go?
    I am using a child theme and have previously customised plugins by adding files to the child theme to overwrite the plugin file…
