    Hi there!

I have a few questions, hope someone can help me out!

I would love to be able to add a circle on the homepage, that looks like a post but links somewhere else.

If that wouldn’t be possible, could someone perhaps help me with adding a sidebar (on the post page only, not homepage) whether via html, or plugins that could add some sort of floating sidebar at all times?

And lastly, this one should be easy but I’m not really sure how to find the right snippet of coding: I would like to disable the fading

    Thanks a lot!

I will create a child-theme in a bit, as I have seen in other topics. And I did find a topic about disabling the fading of text, however not yet how to disable the fading when you hover the circles.

Concerning the child theme, do I need to install the custom CSS manager to go with that?

No, any CSS modifications can go directly in your Child Theme style.css file.

How would you like to manage this in the dashboard?

I see: if I want to edit the footer.php for example or the style, then I copy that specific file to my child theme via ftp, and put the changes in there? (As far as I’ve understood from your answers to other people)

    Thanks!

Yes. If you want to edit footer.php you copy that file from the Spun theme and paste it into your Child Theme folder. Then you can edit the footer.php file from within your Child Theme folder.
That principle applies to most PHP files apart from functions.php. You will break your Child Theme if you copy functions.php over.

Okay thank you so much! I’m still trying to find the answers to the other questions, but perhaps I will find some myself, I will add the links here if I find them!

Actually can you create a new thread about this?
This current thread will get very messy if we continue using it for that.
