Add child object to User

Hi all

I’m new to WordPress, so forgive me if this is an obvious question.

I need to add a child object to the user. Lets call it Car. This I guess will require a new table with new fields. Each user can have none, one or several cars. And then I need all the support framework for adding/updating/deleting and enumerating cars for a specific user.

Is there a framework in place for this or do I need to cut it all from scratch
