Add checkbox to user registration?

  • Hi

    Can I have a checkbox in the user registration form for the user to sign up to the newsletter? If so, how is this implemented? I can’t find anything in the documentation about it?

    (I can’t do this by syncing with user roles, as I want the double opt-in, and also because I’m using s2member so some users will be free and some paid, and the newsletter will be optional in either case.)

    Are you saying that you want someone to be able to sign up using S2member and also add a checkbox so that they subscribe to the newsletter through sendpress? We wrote a little plug-in for easy digital downloads to do that, but we don’t have one for s2member. We do have features like that (or extensions) on our list of projects, but they probably won’t be started until after we release auto responders and custom fields.

    But if that is what you are looking for, I can discuss it with the developers and make sure that that one specifically is on our list.

    @itdoug – usually I’d just email this question, but since you brought it up, I know you wrote a plugin for this, for Easy Digital Downloads, but how about including that plugin, in the core (or Pro version) for others to use…

    This would be especially useful to those of us who use Easy Digital Downloads with SendPress.
