• Well, this may have been answered somewhere, but I haven’t found it… Is it possible to add the “Buy Now” button to the book page (the page that comes up after one clicks “Read More”)?

Presumably, there’s a bit of code that I can add to the page itself for this. I’m not averse to coding, but prefer not to do it by trial and error!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Yael,
The Buy Now button should show up automatically on your Books page, once you insert the purchase links in the TotallyBooked back end area on your WordPress dashboard.

Have you entered your purchase links, and made sure they’re correct?

If you can post a link to your book page, I’ll be glad to take a look for you, and help any way I can!

    Cheering you on,
    Kelli

    Thanks Kelli,

Yes, I’ve put in all the information, and it works nicely in the archives view (I did some tweaking of the css there to give more room for the cover photo. Here’s the archive page:

I’ve put one real book up, and one as a test, just so you can see the bare bones of it.

Now oddly, I just now got it working perfectly on another site, with all the bells and whistles. (https://www.damaged-mirror.com/books/) Both sites use the same theme as this one (Graphene) so presumably, it’s not a theme conflict. Very odd! Perhaps you’ll see something here that I’ve missed.

The page: https://www.kasvapress.com/books/damaged-mirror-story-memory-redemption/ appears to be an actual Page in wp-admin, not a book. If you remove the page or change the permalink, the single book page should appear.

Is that what you were asking ?

    Cheers

    Hi Ben,

The text is from a different page on the site, which I pasted into the existing book detail page. It could be that the plugin is getting confused by an earlier custom post type (though the fact that the plugin uses tb as a prefix ought to keep that from happening.) When I put in a test book, it also fails to show the buy-now buttons, so it doesn’t appear to be a problem with this particular page. I’ll try a few other work-arounds.

    Thanks!
