Add back article:tag

    Hi,

    Yoast 14 no longer outputs the article:tag meta tag. An external DMP service we use depends on those tags so we were wondering how we could output them again manually. Do you index the tags as well and is there a function to retrieve the indexed tags or how would we best go about doing this? Do you have any suggestions. Is there a setting to output the tags?

    Hi @davidmondok,

    The article:tag social open graph meta has been removed from the Yoast SEO plugin as social media no longer uses it anymore.

    However, a request has already been created and sent to our product team to add support for the article:tag again. They will assess whether it is something we can provide on our end and prioritize it in relation to other open bug reports and new features.

    Workaround:

    Meanwhile, more relevant information on this is provided here: #10282 (comment). There is also a filter in there that you can use to add the tag (amongst others) to our header section again.
