Add author's name

  • Hi,

    first, excuse my poor English…

    I own a blog where we are 3 authors and I’d like to add the name of the author of each article :

    – in the front page, just below the number of commentaries ;

    – in each article, just below the date.

    How can I do that please ?

  • Hi there,

    Sela doesn’t display the name of a post’s author by default but you could modify the theme’s code to add this. This would require you to be fairly comfortable experimenting with HTML and basic PHP.

    If you’d like to go down that route, please first create a child theme and then reply back here. I can guide you further from there.

    I have a child theme and tried to copy/paste the sela_entry_meta() function from the inc/template-tags.php file to my child theme’s functions.php file like you said in another forum page. But didn~t really work. I am not very good with HTML and PHP. Where exactly should I paste?
