Add author to slug CPT rewrite

I’ve been trying to add the post author name to the post slug, which is possible through normal permalinks on WP with %author% but this doesn’t seem to work in the CPT rewrite.
Is there a way anybody can think of to make this work?
The permalink structure I’m aiming for is: website.com/CPT/author/postname
which in practice would look something akin to website.com/partner/edd/new-post
