• When writing a new post, I click to show all editing buttons, but cannot see the ‘Add an Image’ button unless I do full screen editing. When I finally expand the screen, the Add an Image button (and the other Add Video, Add Music and Add Media) buttons all apear, but are grayed out and do nothing when you click on them.

I’ve disabled ALL plugins and have verified that my Miscellaneous setting points to wp-content/uploads which is set to 777.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I can point users to the HTML editing screen and have them use the ‘img’ button, but that is not the ideal in this case.

    Thanks in advance

  • I have this exact same problem… no issues prior to 2.7 – I don’t see an “Add an Image” button on the main post edit screen either…

actually I just figured out what it was – the SimpleTags plugin was hosing it up… once I disabled it, the “Add An Image” button came back.

    hi,

I’m also facing the same problem, and i’m using wp 2.8.1.

I don’t have SimpleTags plugins installed, and i tried to deactivate all plugins but the “Add An Image” button is still now there…

    Please help.

    Thanks a lot.
