Add an Export/Import option

  • Add an option to export all custom styles/scripts attached to posts/pages to a file (whatever is appropriate) so that we can backup all our current custom scripts/styles when we have to disable or uninstall the plugin for whatever reason and we are planning to reinstall the plugin.

    AT least by having this option we can be sure that those custom styles we have added will be safe if ever we need to reinstall the plugin.

    I’ve been think on how to do this via the normal WordPress backup. Currently, the meta is backedup, but the settings and global scripts and styles aren’t.

    I was thinking of migrating all of the plugin’s options into a single private CPT with meta data saved onto it. That should enable everything in scripts and styles to be backedup just using the vanilla export/import.

    The WordPress importer has a current GSOC project that I’d like to see completed before I dig into that too much.

    Any thoughts?
