How do I find the root directory on my site?

I have been having issues with Adsense and cannot seem to fix the issue of “One of your sites is missing the AdSense publisher ID in the ads.txt file.”

    Hi lengyjj,

    thanks for reaching out.

The root directory is the place on your web server displaying publicly as yourdomain.com, most of the time something like /path/to/your/websites/files/ so yourdomain.com/ads.txt would be the public address of your ads.txt. Please see this article for more information about the file.

Using Advanced Ads and connecting it to your AdSense account gives you the option to automatically showing this file with the correct contents.

If you encounter problems creating the file, please see the troubleshooting section appended to the manual above or reach out to your hosting provider because they might be able to identify possible issues there.

Please notify me if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning

I haven’t heard back from you.

Have you been able to resolve your issue or is there still anything I could help you with?

I am also interested in your short feedback if all is fine so that I can close this thread.

    Best regards,

    Hi lengyjj,

I assume we are talking about https://foxriverpetcare.com/

Please provide additional information about your approach and the error messages you are seeing.

If the ads.txt integration from Advanced Ads described above does not work for you maybe this approach bear fruits.

If you have further questions regarding Advanced Ads, please don’t hesitate to open up a new topic.

    Best regards,
    Henning
