Add ACF fields to faceting

My Algolia index contains some custom fields (ACF).

I would like to add this functionality to what this plugin currently gives me:

1) display some of these custom fields as facets on the search results page

2) show some of these custom fields in the search results (beneath the title of each search result, some of the field values would be displayed).

My Algolia index is properly set up – these fields are visible, searchable, and filter/facet-able on the “browse” tab for my index at algolia.com.

Can I add this to the plugin? If so, how do I go about it? I don’t want to break existing functionality.
