Add a new product filter based on gender on woocommerce shop page

I want to add a new product filter based on gender on top of products to my shop page, so visitors can filter women and men products. I want to add this above the products and near ordering tab (Sort By Latest..)

Alternately an input tag like below linked to corresponding categories will also solve the problem but the challenge is to display it somewhere on the top (and not side) of products in both mobile and desktop. How can I customize it?
