Add a Link to a Video Media File In Video Block?

  • Hello, Is there a way to add a url link to a video file (the video is one I uploaded to the media file, not one embedded from an outside source)? I would think there would be a way to “layer” blocks or use container blocks to accomplish this since there is no way to add a link in the toolbar for video blocks. Am I just missing the obvious? Thanks a million.

    Oh I should add… I don’t want to put a caption to make a link. I really want people to be able to click no the video to go to another page on my site. ??

    @designerheather If you want a click on the video to direct to another page, it might be better to use an image? Or are you auto looping the video?

    Yes, I plan to auto loop the video for clients who want that. They want the video to autoplay and also to have a call to action type of link on top of it … say in the bottom corner, or elsewhere.

    What if you create a cover block with the video as a background and a button as the call to action?

    I find the cover block not helpful … when I use it for any image it zooms in too much on the image. It also looks faded. Seems the option to add a Link over something should be integrated somehow.
