    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I’m afraid that’s not possible. Jetpack only requires the email address, and doesn’t need any additional information to manage subscriptions on WordPress.com, so you don’t have to add any other fields.

Could you let me know why you’d like to add that new field?

Thank you for your quick answer.

I miss another field for the name of the person.
As I am running a business blog, I would like to know who is subscribing. The name helps. Furthermore, if I want to send a message to subscribers one day, it only works if I could personalize my mails.

Any chance to improve your great tool?

    Regards

I’m afraid Jetpack wasn’t built to send custom newsletters to your subscribers. It will only send emails to your subcsribers when you publish a new post, and these emails can’t be customized.

If you’re looking for a newsletter building service, with options to customize the emails and use specific fields like a name field, it might be best to install a newsletter plugin on your site, like Mailchimp or MailPoet.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks Jeremy, I am afraid you can not help me. Quite now I don’t want to send a newsletter but know who are my subscribers. I will look for another plugin as Jetpack subscription who would cover my requirements.
