add a button to the end of navigation
-
Hi. I love this theme. I’m using it to build a website for a non-profit spay/ neuter organization in Costa Rica whose mission is to more humanely control the animal population in the country.
I’m trying to add a button to the end of the navigation menu like on the demo site, but I’m not a developer and have limited css knowledge and it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. (https://demo.themesandco.com)
I’ve read the snippet about how to do it, but I must be missing something. (https://www.themesandco.com/snippet/adding-css-classes-wordpress-menu/)
I know I have to create a button (css button generator worked for me) and add it to the child theme stylesheet. I can do that.
In menu, I’ve selected ‘CSS classes’ as instructed in the snippet (https://www.themesandco.com/snippet/adding-css-classes-wordpress-menu/)
I’ve tried entering the name of the button in CSS classes under the specific nav menu item.
I’ve added the code to the custom css field, but modified it to reflect my button name. (https://www.themesandco.com/snippet/adding-a-button-to-the-menu/). Nothing happens.
I’m also unsure where the html link is placed for the button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
