• I have a web site composed of static pages in WordPress. Adding pages was simple and repetative. I then tried to add a bog (as page 5, Title ‘Blog’) and while the title appeared on the header and sidebar of the other pages the result of selecting BLOG was a page “404 error” . Before I finally decide this cant be done would someone please either confirm it cant or tell me how to fix it.

    Thanks

  • Take a look at your reading settings. Are your front page and posts page settings correct?

    Dear Clayton-

I have the same problem. I looked at the “reading Settings” page and When I select “blog” for “post page” I get the “404 error, gnarly dude” page.

How can I set add a WP blog page to a WP website?

    Thanks

I have the same issue. Works fine on one of my sites, but not another

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
