Add a badge or widget, and add slideshow

  • I would like to add a badge for the sketchbook project to my sidebar so that is is viewable when someone visits my blog. I don’t know where to put the code.

    Also I am using Slideshow Gallery Pro and I would like to put it in my sidebar or somewhere on top, so that it is always on display on my home page. Again I don’t know how.

    I am using Twenty Ten 1.1 as my theme

  • Download the plugin Advanced Text Widget, that allows for embeds like [slideshow]. Remember sidebars are typically small in width and slideshows typically are not, so make sure to set your dimensions accordingly.

    Thanks. I did download Advanced Text Widget. I was able to put the badge on my blog. But getting the slide show seems to be an issue. I put the code into the widget still nothing shows up.

    what embed code did you use? since you aren’t on a specific page [slideshow] wouldn’t work without a post_id or sending it the custom variables [slideshow custom=1]
