Add 4-6 pictures with text on 1 post

  • Working on food blog. On front page, want a pic with an excerpt then the read more – know how to do this however when visitor clicks on read more want to have the stages of food prep with brief descriptions of each followed by recipe on 1 page? I don’t know how to do this. Thru new posts, new pages? And the process

  • Yes! Only the featured image shows on the front page. Additional images can be added straight to the main content of the post through the Add Media button which is on the top left of the visual editor.

    The problem I am still having is the featured image shows on front page with excerpt, and see more. After the see more, I have added additional pictures of same food item with different stages of preparation. I have tried to end the post with the recipe but the recipe continues to add to the top of the post on the home page.

    But if I create additional posts with the above pics/recipe. The home page (see more) doesn’t link to the posts that depict food prep and recipe info.

    I have been working on this project now for 3 months and still can’t figure it out. Have read/researched many tutorials…but can’t seem to locate correct info.
