Add 3rd party products / links?

  • Is it possible to also add 3rd party product links to the gift registry? e.g. someone found something on Amazon that they want. Can they add the Amazon product page URL to their registry and when someone clicks the link it goes to the Amazon page?

    Yes you can do this through a simple customization although there would be no link between the gift registry and the amazon product as the gift registry would have no idea of knowing when the amazon product is purchased or the quantity of it purchased. There is currently no api I know of that connects amazon to woocommerce.

    The customization I’m referring to here simply involves adding the Amazon url to the wishlist page so that users can click on it. So this is very straightforward.

    For this you would need to look into the template files for the wishlist page to know which action hook to use to output the link.
