Adblock detect – choose sidebar

    Is it possible or how might I proceed to code the option that if someone is using Adblock or ad blockers to show a different sidebar?

    I’d like to show my normal sidebars with external ads to regular users and switch to a set of sidebars with static self-served ads for those with adblock

    Great question!

    Because sidebars and widgets are rendered server-side, and ad blocking happens in the browser (client-side), there is currently no way to detect the blocking and “swap out” the sidebar.

    It is something that I want to investigate and see if could be supported, but there is no ETA on it.
