AD Login for Existing Users

We are trying to change our plugin from another LDAP Authentication plugin to this one, however none of the existing users can login after I activate this plugin and deactivate the previous plugin. Everyone gets ‘Invalid Password’. If I were to set up a new user through this plugin though, they can login. We are a multi-site setup, not sure if that has any effect on it.
Is this a known issue? Are there any work arounds?
