Ad Inserter works really well out of the box

We have moved from using Google AdSense Auto ads to Google AdSense Manual ads. We have a very simple set-up with just 5 ad slots. Some ads in the right sidebar and a footer ad.

Our site is built using a FSE block theme – Ollie.

We use the shortcode links in a para block to add the manual ad code into various templates. What we also use is the ability of Ad Inserter to centre the ads, to dynamically add the ad label (Advertisements) above the ad and by using two bits of CSS we can i) format the ad label and ii) set in place some magic to collapse/hide the ad space when Google AdSense has no ads to serve.
