Ad control adversely impacts Google Pagespeed score. Please improve!

    I am delighted to be running adcontrol in my wordpress.com site. However, my pagespeed score,especially mobile score is awful. I understand that running ads is a compromise on speed, but I request you to please improve.

    Please provide an option to diable ads in mobiles or disable header unit in mobiles.

    If your site is hosted on WordPress.com, you can go to Appearance > Mobile in your dashboard, and enable the Mobile Theme. Once you’ve done so, your readers will get a specific mobile theme when visiting your site from a smartphone, and only the ads below the posts will be displayed. The header unit won’t be loaded.

    While that’s not perfect, I’m afraid that’s the only way to restrict ads on mobile devices at the moment.

    oh sorry, I meant hosted on wp.org. I tried the jetpack mobile theme, but it still loads the header unit. Anyway, I will wait for more developments. Thanks.

    Thanks for bringing this up, I’m going to try to add the option to include/exclude the header unit on mobile in the next version..
