• Hello. A customer has version 6.0.3 of WPress, with 17 updates to go, including WPress 6.1.1.

    Doubts:

    1) Only one of the plugins (WPBakery Page Builder) says that it is not known if it is compatible with WPress version 6.1.1. However, the plugin does not appear to be in use. Will it be convenient to update the other 15 plugins?

    2) The client has his WPress in Spanish. The update version of WordPress (6.1.1) claims to be in English (WordPress 6.1.1–en_US )
If I update to WPress 6.1.1, will the desktop and the rest of the content in the editing areas be changed to English?

    Thank you

    S.

The WPBakery plugin is a commercial product. WordPress support volunteers here are not given access to any commercial products, so we can’t advise you on any such commercial products.

That said, commercial themes and plugins often require a valid license key of some sort to receive updates (both the licence key and updates come from the product’s vendor, not WordPress).

WPBakery is often bundled with other commercial themes sold at ThemeForest.net. If yours came bundled with a theme, and you’ve changed themes recently to one that doesn’t require WPBakery, then you may not need the plugin.

But that’s a wild assumption on my part.

I’ll recommend you create a backup, disable the plugin, and test extensively to be sure no site functionality is lost before removing the plugin. You may also want to contact your current theme’s author just to be extra sure.

Irrespective of what language version of WordPress is installed, you can easily switch to another language from the WordPress dashboard by navigating to SETTINGS => GENERAL => SITE LANGUAGE.

    Good luck!

I think your assumption is right. I’m going to follow your tip.

    Have a nice day.
