actual images not loading on Portfolio press theme,only icon of images

Sorry for the newby question, I have loaded Portfolio Press theme and on the home (static) page only the icon representing the images are displayed, but not the actual images themselves. When one clicks on the icon the image opens, but I want the images themselves to display just as it does on the Portfolio Press theme. I regnerated the thumbnails and made sure that I did not pick posts but picked static page. Thanks for any assistance or suggestions. Al [email protected]
