    Hello Team,

    I would like to report two bugs that has been causing issues working with Youzify lately.

    1. The first one is regarding the activity feed. The Acitivty Post is not visible when a link to the YouTube video is pasted in the option ‘Status’. I had previously reported this bug last time however, it looks like it still has not been resolved yet.
    2. The second one is about the Register page shortcode. I am using this shortcode [youzify_register] for my register page. If I register with this page and after clicking on Sign Up button, it does not redirect me to the page where it says ‘The activation link has been sent to your email, check your email to activate your account’ page. Instead, it refreshes the Register page without any alert or notice to indicate regarding activation part.

    Is there a way, these issues can be fixed now?

    Hello @shaunj

    Thank you for report this. We did some tests on our testing site really can not find issues you reported.

    May I know what Youzify version do you use? Also please send us a screencast regarding these so we can have a more clear idea.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick reply. I can provide more information to replicate these issues. I’m using version 1.2.2.

    YouTube video activity post issue:
    I do not have the video posts enabled in the Youzify settings. However, I do have the Status posts enabled. To replicate this issue – Go to the Activity page > Click on the Status option > Paste a YouTube link > Click Post. Link to the screenshot https://i.imgur.com/NN8Rwzo.png The activity post will be posted however, it won’t be visible.

    Register shortcode bug:
    Add a new page > Paste the shortcode [youzify_register] > Save and publish the page. Do not set this page as a Register in BuddyPress Pages settings. Now go to this new Register page, fill in the details, and click Sign up. This Register page would refresh however, won’t redirect the user to the page that says “An activation link has been sent to your email address”.

    I hope this information may have helped replicating these. Thanks.

    Hello @shaunj

    Thanks for clarify

    1. The Youtube embed is working fine. I have tested it on our testing website. Kindly check this video

    2. The Registration Form Shortcode also is working fine. Please check this video

    I believe it’s a conflict between Youzify with another plugin or your theme. Please try disable all plugins on your website except Youzify and BuddyPress. Also change your theme to default WordPress theme. And then check again if the issue exist or not.

    If the problem solved, please enable the plugins/theme one by one and test it until you can identify the conflict plugin/theme.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

    Hi @kainelabsteam,

    Thank you for looking this into for me. I tried deactivating all of the plugins except Youzify and BuddyPress and switched to the default theme, and the Activity post with the YouTube video issue was still the same.

    By looking at your video, I believe you have the ‘Video posts settings On’ on the Youzify settings page. Could you please try disabling that and only have the Status posts option enabled? You might be able to replicate that issue then.

    Also, with the Register form, I can confirm there is something that is conflicting with this.

    Hello @shaunj

    Thanks for your reply

    Indeed you need to enable Video Post type to make members able to share Youtube Embed video to activity feed.

    If you want to make your members can share Youtube Embed Video but on the other side want to hide Video Post Type Button too, you can use this CSS

    .youzify-wall-add-activity_video.youzify-btn {
    display: none;
    }
