Activity Plus for comments

  • Is there any scope for Activity Plus functionality being applied to comments (replies to activity updates) as well as updates themselves.

    It doesn’t look to me like this is included, but I thought I’d check. And we’re scoping whether it’s feasible to add this ourselves – and whether it might be worth building on AP functionality, or if we’d need to code from scratch (in which case we might be in a situation of coding a completely custom system – makes sense to use the same system for updates as well as comments).

    Have you tried to implement this and found it tricky? Looks like the functionality is mostly JS, so I guess you’re not limited by (lack of) BP PHP hooks?

    BP Activity Plus doesn’t have any option to be applied to comments I’m afraid and doing so will require custom coding.

    I did some digging around and I’m afraid that I don’t see a quick solution for this but since it’s mostly JS oriented it should be possible to include it in comments with some additional coding.

    Thanks. It’s partly that I’ve been occupied with other projects, and partly that, from my experience of the plugin’s code so far, I’m intimidated by the idea of working on this. If I have a go rather than opting to code my own solution from scratch, and run into issues, I’ll open another thread.
