Hi, I’m interested in purchasing CleanTalk for several webpages but I am not sure it’s working correctly in my case.

I only use ActiveCampaign native forms, embedded in WordPress pages through HTML forms.

I’ve activated the trial period for the domain and spam protection seems to be activated In wordpress (and visiting the ?sfw_test_ip=10.10.10.10 test page I can see it’s all fine).
Anyway, if I optin using the test emails [email protected] or [email protected] (as explained here https://blog.cleantalk.org/activecampaign-subscription-forms-spam-protection/ I can register correctly, and I don’t understand if it working correctly with AC forms or not.

I also activated the “protect external forms” in the advanced options, but no luck.

Could you please let me know if I am doing anything wrong and how can I make it work correctly?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello.

Please, enable the ‘Protect internal forms’ option and test the web form again. Keep us posted.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I activated that optin and I could run the test succesfully.

Anyway, spam contacts are still optin through that form (like hundred per day) and I really do not know if there is something else we can do in order to prevent it.

Could you please let me know?

    Thanks

Hello. Thank you for the update.

I see that requests from Accede a las PíLDORAS totalmente GRATIS web form are now intercepted by the Anti-Spam plugin. Some of them were blocked, and some were allowed.

If there are any missed spam requests that our plugin allowed please mark them in your Anti-Spam log: https://cleantalk.org/my/show_requests —> choose your website in the drop-down menu —> there are buttons “Spam” and “Not Spam” under every record —> mark records using these buttons. The guide is here: https://cleantalk.org/help/faq#feedback_spam.

Or if the problem is that our plugin blocked the request and you still see it in your backend, please let us know.

Hi and thanks for getting back.

The thing is that I do not see the logs of most of the emails registered through the form in https://libertadinmobiliaria.es/lista-vip/.

If I filter the records by this page, I only see some approved emails and some other denied (which are my tests with emails [email protected] and [email protected].

But there are no other records, while I keep getting bots registration through the form. Emails seems to be real (don’t know if they are in a black list) but it’s definitely a bot pushing contacts through the form (and they do not appear in the logs).

If we are able to stop this, I would like to pay the subscriptions for different websites (I understand that it’s not possible to have the same account with different domains, and the only option is creating different accounts with different emails and access key. Please confirm).

    Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for the clarification.

Please install the debug plugin to your website and export skipped requests. This plugin should log all skipped requests. The link to the archive is here: https://github.com/CleanTalk/cleantalk-debug/archive/refs/tags/2.1.zip. When you receive missed spam again, please click the button “Export skipped request”. Then send us the created file for analysis via our private Ticket System: https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open.

As for subscriptions for different websites: you can add to one account as many websites as you want. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to discus any non-plugin questions on this forum, so all additional questions you can ask in the ticket.

During our investigation, we found out that the form is self-made, added to the site through html insertion using Elementor tools. Our plugin cannot work with it correctly, integration is required. We decided not to do it.

Please use another way to create the form. Here is the list of plugins with which we have integrations to ensure full compatibility: https://cleantalk.org/help/anti-spam-integrations#wp-contact-form.

    Hi Eugene,

this is a native ActiveCampaign form inserted by html in wordpress, and ActiveCampaign is one of the tools Cleantalk supports (that’s one of the reasons why we decided to try CleanTalk to solve the bot issue).

Does it means it only works with API connected forms (through the ActiveCampaign plugin for wordpress) and not with HTML native integration?

We have different projects and would like to have tool which really prevents our forms from being attacked from spam bots, HTML integration is preferred. Please let us know if that’s possible or not.

    Thanks!
