    Displaying images instead of the tab text was not part of the scope of the plugin when it was created, so this is not supported.

    If you are using CSS to apply a background image targeting the tab’s id
    eg:
    #tablist1-tab1
    you may be able to also target the active tab to swap out the background image by also targeting the class in addition to the id.
    eg:
    .responsive-tabs__list__item--active#tablist1-tab1
