    Hi there,
I have had an issue with comments on my site, where suddenly all pages showed the option to comment the page even the ones I have unchecked the “allow comnents” checkmark.
By switching off the plugins, I have narrowed it down to the geolocation plugin.

I have tried different themes and also WordPress 5.1.1 but the error stays with just this plugin. Any idea how this could be linked to the plugin?

    Hi,
Thanks for reporting that effect. I will try to analyze it since I did not recognize this till now. Should not happen.
What version are you on (geolocation)?

I tried to reproduce the effect on my own website but could not ?open“ the comments when automatically closed after 14 days for example.
Can you tell me what theme you are using, please.

    Thanks in advance.

I am usually running Maxwell, but have tried twenty nineteen and both give the same behaviour: with activated 0.6 geolocation every page can be commented, even if their properties is set to “dont allow comments”

Also: there is two specific comments which appear on all pages, even though they are linked to very specific post. This also disappears when downgraded to version 0.52… strange things going on.
I will also have to note, that this is my first wordpress site and while setting it up i have installed and uninstalled many different plugins. So I could imagine that the remains of some of them have left my wordpress/database a little messy and this is only very loosely tied to your plugin…

Thanks for sharing that information with me. Consequently, I can now try to evaluate that accordingly.

    Hi,
I tried with both themes and on a clean setup both worked fine with the plugin.
If you have any more details, I‘m happy to analyze that again.
Till then, I mark this as closed as I cannot reproduce it.
