Active Directory Read Only

I’m researching plugins that can access an active directory listing and populate a webpage in wordpress with the user listing data. Is that possible with this plugin? I don’t have a need to actually change or update any active directory information, just read the data.

Also – for this plugin to access AD, does the website need to be hosted within the network or can it connect from outside with external hosting?
