Activation url incorrect

New users complain that it is so hard to log in for the first time. When I tested it, I noticed that the field I use to activate the account [reset_pass_url] (I wouldn’t know what other field) gives an ‘incorrect url’ failure. There IS a password field, but it can’t be saved. When a user does, (s)he gets an error that the password is incorrect and that they can reset it, the usual ‘forgot password’ function.

This is, indeed, not ‘optimal’.
