    hi
I have just downloaded and installed your plugin – and even before I configured it I got these messages in my dashboard:

You are running debug mode, it’s using resources and not recommended to run continuously”

It would be really helpful if the plugin gave here the details exactly WHERE is this debug mode as I am NOT aware of running any debug mode and so don’t have a clue how to fix this!

A configuration issue prevents CDN from working: The “Authorisation Key” and “Replace default hostname with” fields cannot be empty. You need to select/create a pull zone” Specify it HERE”.

I’m not a developer and don’t have the slightest idea what the plugin wants me to fix and how!! On top of that, when I clicked on the link Specify it HERE – I got a blank page with “You are not authorised to access this link”.

    ???????????

Could you possibly explain in simple terms and ith simple steps how to fix this.

Also – does your plugin have an option to manually clear the cache?

I have downloaded this plugin as it is apparently easy to install and does not require a degree in web development, coding, changing files etc etc.

    Can you please advise.

    Hello @magicpowers

I am sorry about the issues you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.

    1. In Performance>General settings, scroll down to the “Debug” sub box and see if any of the boxes are checked. If so, uncheck those boxes and save all settings. If the boxes are checked but greyed out it means that the setting that debug is turned on for E.G Minify is disabled at the moment. So you should enable the setting that is greyed out, save all settings and then disable it in the debug sub-box
    2. As for the CDN, this means that the CDN is enabled. If you are not using the CDN you should disable it in Performance>General settings and save all settings.
There is a possibility that W3 Total Cache was installed and active on your website before and some files were not deleted when the plugin was previously disabled.
    I hope this helps!

    Hi @vmarko

    many thanks for your reply.

    1. Your solution did work. I had some boxes checked and was able to uncheck them. The warning is gone.

    2. Yes, the CDN is enabled and I’d like to keep it on. This time, when I click on “Specify it HERE” it takes me to the CDN settings, except that there are no fields specified in the warning “Authorisation Key” and “Replace default hostname with” which apparently cannot be empty. Where will I find them and what do I need to put in them? Also, I’m not familiar at this point with CDN so don’t know which boxes to tick in the settings. Do you have this explained somewhere in a help file?

    3. Another warning I forgot about:

“In order for database caching to work with WooCommerce you must add _wc_session_ to the “Ignored Query Strings” option in W3 Total Cache settings.”
I have checked – this string is already there (called Ignored Query Stems). Why is the plugin not seeing it?

    thanks

    Hello @magicpowers

As per our conversation via the support channel:

    1. Glad to know your issue is resolved

    2. If you want to continue using the CDN you need to set up an account with the desired CDN provider. We recommend Stackpath, and you can signup with Stackpath via W3 Total Cach dashboard. Here is the article which will help you set up the Stackpath CDN in W3 Total Cache.?

The Performnance>Database Cache, “Ignored query stems:” field is populated with some queries and one of them is “_wp_session_”. The notification you are getting is suggesting to add “_wc_session_”.
Note the difference between wp?and wc?

    I hope this helps
