Activation fatal error Failed opening required 'inc/smartButtons.php'

  • When trying to activate WPi Designer Button we get a Plugin could not be activated error. Looks like its thrown at line 29 of the wpi-designer-button-shortcode.php file: require_once(“inc/smartButtons.php”);

    The main part of the error reads: Failed opening required ‘inc/smartButtons.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/share/pear’).

    There are several require_once lines above line 29 in the config file that don’t throw errors.

    We’re using WordPress 4.1.5. Not sure how to proceed to fix the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Please update your designer button plugin.

    I fixed the issue. I hope your problem with designer button plugin will be solved.
