I receive the following error when I try to activate the plug-in:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/afinefin/public_html/afinefinish/blog/wp-content/plugins/featured-image-caption/featured-image-caption.php on line 46

I have the latest version of WordPress and I’m running the Get Noticed! theme.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled once.

Thanks for the report! You’re not the first person to mention having this issue. I’m looking into why it’s happening.

Do you happen to know what version of PHP you’re running on?

Christiaan, I apologize for the ignorance. Specifically which PHP file do you want to know about?

When I ran a search on my site directory, it returned 250 results for PHP files.

My apologies, I should have been more clear.

Try installing this plugin, and copy the PHP version displayed in the “At a Glance” box in your site’s Dashboard.

    Running PHP version: 5.2.17

Ah, ok. The plugin should have caught that (I’m not sure why it didn’t – are you using the latest version?) but it requires a minimum of PHP 5.3.

I’ll need to look into whether the version check isn’t working as it’s supposed to, but you’ll want to talk to your hosting provider about upgrading PHP as well, since WordPress core doesn’t even have official support for your version.

Thanks, Christiaan. I appreciate your attentiveness.
