Activation causes ghost spam comment counts

  • Activating v2.6.13 as a fresh installation causes ghost spam comment counts to appear on dashboard. 110 count to be exact.

    Are you importing the dummy content of WooCommerce? That’s the only thing I can think of…

    Thanks Riaan.

    I am not importing the dummy content; actually skipping setup at install. Tried installing dot 12 – after deleting all plugin files and the associated tables – and got the same weird error.

    Also generating some log errors, like this …

    Install otherwise seems unaffected, but such a sketchy error on a production site raises the risk aversion level here.
