Activating wp-markdown-editor results in white screen

Activating wp-markdown-editor to the site results in the white screen of nothingness. Removing it via FTP returns normal access. I’ve tried increasing the WP and PHP memory limits but nothingness returns on activation of the plugin. Jetpack is installed and activated.
